- He’ll be by Harry’s side. He always is, even when they were fighting in the Goblet of Fire he tried to warn Harry about the dragons.
- Ron will grow in some way. I’m hoping he gets enough maturity to tell Hermione how he really feels. He’s grown in some way through each book. Makes him an interesting and likeable character and adds to Harry’s persona.
- He will stay by Harry’s side until the very end of the book where something will prevent him from remaining at Harry’s side. Look at all of the other books, to see what I mean.
- If he lives, Ron will end up with Hermione. Of course, she’ll need to live too ;-)
- He often sacrifices himself for Harry, remember the chess set? And when he thought the Grim was going after Harry under the Whomping Willow.
Now according to Richard Jones on a Mugglenet editorial:
“It is also interesting that JKR repeats the joke in her "Fantastic Beasts" book: on the back of the first page, Harry and Ron are playing a game of Hangman when one of them writes: ‘You die Weasley.’”Again, Eeep!
